They saw the sea touching the horizon like a translucent cloth, undulating and wavering endlessly with a life of its own. Natural rock islands pierced the surface and stood defiantly, holding vegetation and trees that protest in the breeze. Farther in the distance, mountains stood unnamed; silent and wordless to the countless visitors that have passed before them for centuries and centuries.
Everything was silent, except for the sound of paddles slapping the water. And the sea brushed itself against the rocks, in all affection like a close friend.
