(1)"at young, jenny jellybean thought that the magnets stuck onto the fridge door would suck all the energy dry off the fridge and she would get worried."

(2)the ridiculous scary thing that came to me was when reading BIgO,i suddenly thought that the whole music scene or more like industry anywhere has turned to the stage where you have to appear in the news constantly or else people would forget you and so on...the whole hype.

(3)"you think you're a man,but you're only a boy."

"you think you're a man,but you're only a toy."

"you think you're a man,but you just couldn't see....you're not man enough,

to satisfy me."----from the VASELINES.

(4)the VASELINES is this funny band from some weird and eccentric town like edinburgh or glasglow.i like some of their songs because they are like peter pan maudlin...like the calvinists (those childhood purists) mixed with bored porn.

i bought their cd cos i heard kurt cobain saying he liked them and so i went to the towers at pacific plaza a few times before they finally filled their shelves with it.the back of the cd cover lists their songs and also some of their comments:

SON OF A GUN...love and shooting your gun.

RORY RIDES ME RAW....frances' bike was called rory and it had a rough saddle.

(5)if there's a reason why some people walk around with their heads hung low,i hope it would be because staring at the ground, the granite crystals glitter under the sun like diamonds before they got cut and hung on people's fingers, like prisms shining colours;embedded like stars in concrete.

(6)"meanwhile i said excuse me to the ghosts of the area and quickly buttoned up my pants after i finished and continued on my way on the lonely streets back to my home.i was real sleepy and kind of afraid then.i saw the blackness of the trees in bishan park and the sky was dark red and not a single soul around except myself and everything appeared unreal from the sunny view of things in the day."---a matter of urgency on a late night out.

(7)"it should always rain on sad days,i declare it so-"

(8)this one is by spurs.

the earlier downpour had made sad puddles on the roads illuminated by the eerie glow of sodium vapour lamps.the yellow light was reflected as a shimmery tinge by the puddles...periodically breaking the glow of the puddles and sending quick sprays onto the pavement.

people started to scurry into the already packed bus-stops when the heavens threatened the helpless mortals by sending the pitter patters again.threats soon turned into thunderous roars;schoolboys trudged across the muddy soccer field to the safety of shelters;giggly high-heeled girls sashayed under the protection of their umbrellas to the mrt station;the labd was now a chaotic mess, brought about by the sudden thunderstorm.

(9) "the american dream we pursue, but not further than the golden arches of which globalisation is encapsulated ."--spurs the economist.

(10)"what golden arches?"

"oh...M...mah-donalds..."

(the clown is missing.)
