avunculurism or avunculism (the exact spelling is lost in my mind,so do tell me if you know the answer.)
anyway,this rather big word means a lot...jd salinger would have loved this.(he doesn't encourage name-dropping but i guess some witty shit post-name dropping would please him and maybe my conscience.)
avunculism:the act of posturing as a caring patron to further a private agenda.
