expired ingredients for a horror film
ingredients for the next script
was sleeping at about 9am this morning when i had this mad dream idea for a script.
i remember vaguely it had something to do with indonesian television folk horror tales with full-bodied women in sarongs appearing here and there scary with fangs and garish green light on their faces.
here are the brief brain storm stuff:
1. bloodshot eyes
2. horror + sex + comedy
3. awful looking grotesque supernatural stuff like vomiting worms, exploding stomachs, mutilated fingers etc...
4. decided to add love to the equation, so its horror + sex + comedy + love.
5. horrible love + comedic sex ?
6. include transvestites for transvestites' sake?
7. characters... delving into the bank of films of this genre... should be vacant hedonistic youths holidaying or slacking and so on... hmm... go against the genre, so its a bunch of SDU members, nah cannot... mother/son/daughter, cannot... occupation unknown (cannot be psychiatrist, doctor, taxi-driver, wife possessed...add any other recent character types here.)
8. no sixth sense thriller crap. no surprise endings in the end. no love conquers all, no morals. still... no from dusk till dawn 1,2 and 3.
9. ok, in the spirit of positive brain storming... can have sixth sense crap, surprise endings, twisted morals, bizarre love, from tuas to pasir ris escape club but not haunted theme park please.
10. occupation: unknown, sex: unknown, relationship to other characters: unknown.
11. kenny of SPI's story, inviting grandfather's spirit back on the 7th night, but due to wrong timing, the wrong spirit is invited, thus mayhem.
