Please tell your friends or send ecards to them from here. also, from the UNIFEM newsletter: "Recognising the need to improve working conditions for migrant workers (i.e. maids), most notably by giving them a day off, UNIFEM Singapore is working with local NGOs HOME (www.home.org.sg) and Transient Workers Count Too (www.twc2.org.sg) on a 'day off' campaign for Domestic Workers. One of the main aims of this campaign is to build public support for a change in legislation to give Domestic Workers one rest day a week." "UNIFEM Singapore is soft-launching this campaign with a series of MRT Poster Ads along the NE Line. These ads will be visible from 1st March 2008 onwards. The website www.maiddayoff.com will also be launched in a trial version from 1st March. The campaign and site will be officially launched on 1st May 2008.
